Chiswick Christian Centre is a part of the Elim Pentecostal Church movement a registered UK Charity (No.251549). The movement was founded in 1915 and is now made up of over 500 churches in the UK and 9000 worldwide, with active missions work into 35 countries involving with orphanages, hospitals and schools as well as churches.
The name 'Elim' was taken from the book of Exodus where the Israelites exhausted and dispirited en route from Egypt's cruel bondage to the freedom of Canaan came to Elim an oasis in the desert where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees. (Exodus 15.27.) At a time when many churches see a fall in numbers, Elim has proven to be a welcome place of refreshing.
