| Vision |
|
‘To be a church after the heart of God, with a passion to obey the Great Commission by reaching our community, region and the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ'
By God’s grace and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit we intend to fulfil this vision by:
Worship and Prayer
-
By encouraging private worship and prayer.
-
By providing public worship and prayer opportunities.
-
By encouraging the continued awareness of and response to God’s presence.
-
By training in the ministry of evangelism.
-
By running and being involved in events designed to reach those who are investigating the claims of Jesus Christ.
-
By building relationships with and serving our community and places of work.
-
By equipping members for service and ministry.
-
By teaching the Word of God in accurate and practical ways.
-
By helping people discover, develop and use their spiritual gifts and talents for building up the church.
-
By encouraging an atmosphere of love, acceptance and forgiveness.
-
By ministering to, supporting and strengthening our church families.
-
By helping people in their immediate needs.
- By creating opportunities to present the gospel to those not reached by other ministries.
-
By applying biblical truths to improve the quality of community life.
-
By ministering to people of all backgrounds and ages.
-
By ministering healing to the complete person, ‘spirit, soul and body’
- By seeking to bring each person to the full wholeness that Jesus came to give us.

| Values |
|
‘Our values are based on the Great Commandment and the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ:’
(1) The Great Commandments
"'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment.’ " Matthew 22:36-39
-
We seek by the grace of God first and foremost to truly love the Lord our God.
-
He having loved us and sending His only Son to forgive us of our sin and give us a completely fresh beginning deserves all the love of our heart, mind and body.
-
We seek to do this in fully laying down our lives before Him in worship allowing Him in be fully Lord over every part of our lives.
‘And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Matthew 22:40 ‘A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.’ John 13:34
To truly love our neighbour:
-
By loving each other regardless of background or preference, expressing our unity together in Christ
-
By loving and serving the community God has put us amongst
-
To express our unity in Christ with other different expressions of the body of Christ
(2) The Great Commission
‘And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.’ Matthew 28:18-20
-
To by all means possible reach our world with the good news of Jesus Christ
-
To be a church that seeks not to merely have attenders but to lead people to become true disciples of Christ
-
To positively present the gospel message: locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Strategy
-
We believe the most effective place for disciples grow is through the smaller gatherings of Life Groups where one to one care nurture can take place.
-
To grow and multiply these Life Groups by raising up leaders who in turn can nurture others.
-
To reach out to and practically serve our community, with a focus on those in need.
-
To minister the gospel to the needs of the whole person, spirit, soul and body.
-
To release mission teams to minister to the nations, focusing on areas least reached by the gospel. |
